Since I was about 10 years old, my fitness journey had always been about 2 things : performance and weight loss. As an athlete growing up, I trained to be better at volleyball and softball and then after that it was so I could be skinny as possible. For years I would not eat at all or do some crazy diet and then binge at night with junk food and alcohol. It was such a vicious cycle. All for the sake of being skinny. When I found yoga, I was able to observe my choices instead of repeat them and it changed my whole life. So along with strength training, I use yoga as a tool to help me stay grounded.
Fast forward a few years and now I workout because it makes me feel good. Sure, I want to look great. Everyone does. But when my motivation is solely for aesthetics, I fall into habits that are unsustainable and terrible for my mental health.
This blog was made for those who want to find a healthy routine with killer workouts, eat foods they love, and feel confident. I hope you join me - let's get sweaty!
